Dear Subscribers!

For the reason of frequent cases of password stealing, unauthorized access to the Network (leaking of clients money resources) we STRONGLY recommend:

1.  Upon first connection to the Internet visit personal cabinet on the site www.sarkor.com and change the assigned password into your own unique one. It is recommended to change the password periodically (once per 2-3 weeks). It is not worth to use names, phones, car numbers and other information known not only by you but people surrounding you as password: easily determined password will be at first tested by a violator;

2. Don’t leave data on user name and password on the paper, notebooks, and documents in the computer, office. The less people know the password the more secure it is;

3. When working in the office don’t mark “Save password” in Connection with the provider, and enter password again upon every connection;

4. To install antivirus software with new update of antivirus bases (the best variant is antivirus of Kasperskiy laboratory -AVP) on the personal computer. Use this software in such way that the Monitor tracing processes going on and initiated on your personal computer was constantly working;

5.  When working with e-mail use The Bat! Program, functions of which include Incoming Mail Dispatch (Dispatch Mail On Server). This function allows to check the list of authors, subject and size of messages that are on the provider’s server and haven’t been received yet. We recommend to delete without receiving information from unknown authors, without subject ( or the topic of evidently provoking, tempting character) and other messages being suspected to you. All this can be easily done in “The Bat” by means of the Dispatch. If nevertheless you use Outlook Express, MS Outlook programs than after you received the message of doubtful character especially with attached files such as *.exe, *.bat, *.com, it’s worth to DELETE such letters not opening the attachments doesn’t matter how tempting the attachment is. It worth knowing that ways of breaking become “much cleverer” and when on the e-mail you receive files of “non-booting” character such as *.jpg, *.gif and etc. And here you should be very careful and at first save attachment on the hard disk and only then open them. The thing is that hikers use system of double and triple extension of files such as *.jpg.exe, *.gif.exe.gif, *.jpg.____________exe, and this can be discovered only after saving them on the hard disk, do not open the attachment of harmless type at first sight. Sometimes it happens that the user whom you trust (partner, friend, relative) send you e-mail messages that also contain Trojan or other virus. This happens when the remote user has an infected computer, and virus manages sending of e-mail messages to the addresses shown in the address book. Again it is possible to determine, localize and smoothly remove the virus only using antivirus program that will not allow the breaking program writing it in the program files detecting it from the moment of trying to penetrate to the personal computer protected by antivirus. *.doc (WinWord format) files also can be added to potential virus carriers. The document file can contain so called macroses that represent in fact complete programs and consequently can be viruses. Before opening of such file it is recommended to check them with help of antivirus;

6. Forbid general access to logic disks if it is open. Opened access to local discs sharply increases threat of hikers’ attack upon direct work in the Internet. When working in Windows 95,98 in case Network environment is not set it shall be set (even in the home computer) and forcibly cancel General access to logic disks. Setting of Network environment is carried out in the Network settings (Control panel) adding Remote access Controller configuration;

7. Use other programs of Remote LAN access but not standard Windows dialer as these programs use their format of password keeping in contrary to accessible Windows *.pwl file ( this relates to 95/98/Me versions). We recommend easily distributed Edialer, Vdialer.

You should remember that safety, storage and purposeful use of the user’s means , stable work of the personal computer depends much on the accuracy and vigilance of the user himself.
